The Utility Upgrade Download is the progression gate for the Utility branch. It does not directly increase stats; it unlocks higher-tier Utility content.

What it unlocks

Utility content checks your Utility download level against its required tier (typeLevelNeeded).

• Level 0 (default):
  • Base Utility items (tier 0)
  • Examples:
    • Upgrades: Cash Per Enemy, Cash Per Wave
    • Modules: Bit Gain Module, Coin Gain Module
    • Boosts: Coins Boost, Cash Boost
    • Downloads: Starting Bits, Module Slots, Executable Slots

• Level 1 unlocked:
  • All Utility items requiring tier 1
  • Examples:
    • Upgrades: Coins Per Enemy, Coins Per Wave
    • Downloads: Worker Idle Time
  • (No Utility module is tier 1.)

• Level 2 unlocked (final):
  • All Utility items requiring tier 2
  • Examples:
    • Upgrade: Speed Divider, Virus Scanner
    • Module: Speed Divider Module
    • Boosts: Speed Divider Boost, Virus Scanner Boost
    • Downloads: Virus Scanner Deep Scan, Virus Scanner Wide Sweep, System Weapon Slots

Notes

• In UI text, this download shows: Unlocked X out of 2 Utility Upgrades.
• While active in a slot, it progresses in real time.
• When complete, the level increases by 1 and newly unlocked Utility-tier content becomes available in Shop/Modules/Server slot item selection.
