Defense Upgrade Download
The Defense Upgrade Download is the progression gate for the Defense branch. It does not directly increase stats; it unlocks higher-tier Defense content.

What it unlocks
Defense content checks your Defense download level against its required tier (typeLevelNeeded).
- Level 0 (default):
- Base Defense items (tier 0)
- Examples: Health and Health Regen upgrades, Health/Health Regen modules, Health/Health Regen boosts, Health/Health Regen downloads
- Level 1 unlocked:
- All Defense items requiring tier 1
- Examples: Defense and Shield upgrades, Shield module, Defense/Shield boosts
- Level 2 unlocked (final):
- All Defense items requiring tier 2
- Examples: Packet Shift and Counter Hack upgrades, Packet Shift/Counter Hack boosts
Notes
- In UI text, this download shows: Unlocked X out of 2 Defense Upgrades.
- While active in a slot, it progresses in real time.
- When complete, the level increases by 1 and newly unlocked Defense-tier content becomes available in Shop/Modules/Server slot item selection.
