Boosts[edit]

Boosts are permanent collection items that give stat bonuses when equipped in your server slots.

They are simple:

  • You buy boost cards with Gems.
  • Cards increase a boost’s level over time.
  • The boost only affects gameplay while it is equipped in a slot.

How Boosts Work[edit]

  1. Spend Gems to buy a random boost card.
  2. That card increases the chosen boost’s progress (`currentLevel`) by +1.
  3. Reaching card thresholds upgrades the boost tier (I → VII).
  4. Equip that boost in a server slot to activate its effect.

Boost levels are saved permanently, so progress carries over between runs.

Buying Boosts[edit]

  • Cost per purchase: 20 Gems
  • A purchase gives one random available boost
  • The roll only includes boosts that:

You cannot directly pick a specific boost from the buy button.

Boost Level Progression[edit]

Boosts use card thresholds:

Tier Cards Needed (`currentLevel`)
I 1
II 4
III 9
IV 19
V 44
VI 94
VII (max) 199

Notes:

  • At 0 cards, the boost is “not owned”.
  • Maxing a boost means reaching Tier VII.

Equipping Rules[edit]

  • Boosts only work while equipped in a server slot.
  • A boost can only be equipped once at a time.
  • Equipping a different item in that slot removes the active boost effect.
  • Boosts are not consumed on use.

Unlock Requirements[edit]

Each boost belongs to a category:

  • Attack
  • Defense
  • Utility

A boost is selectable only if its category unlock requirement is met (via category download level).

Common unlock pattern:

  • Requirement 0: starter boosts
  • Requirement 1: mid boosts
  • Requirement 2: advanced boosts

What Boosts Affect[edit]

Boosts increase many core stats, including examples like:

  • Damage
  • Health / Health Regen
  • Coins / Bits gain
  • Attack Speed
  • Defense / Shield
  • Crit stats
  • Utility effects (Speed Divider, Virus Scanner, etc.)

Most boosts act as multipliers to their matching systems when active.

Practical Tips[edit]

  • Keep at least one strong economy boost (Coins/Bits) for scaling.
  • Swap to combat boosts when pushing difficult waves.
  • Upgrade unlock downloads early so more boosts can appear in rolls.
  • Use free/extra slots to keep your best high-tier boosts active.
